Purpose and Function

Polyvinylpolypyrrolidone (PVPP) is a synthetic polymer used as a stabilizer in food production. It is commonly used in beverages, particularly beer and wine, to remove haze-causing compounds and improve clarity. PVPP is also used in pharmaceuticals as a disintegrant in tablets.
